Terms of sale: worldwide edition

For unsigned paperback and hardcover copies of Hostile To Thinking ordered for delivery outside Norway. Version 1.1, in force from 26 September 2026. For signed copies delivered in Norway, see the Norway sales terms.

1. Who you are buying from

Overnight Wisdom Publishing (organisation number 918 954 864), a registered business unit of Overnight Wisdom Udeze, a sole proprietorship registered in Norway, organisation number 918 884 351. Your contract is with Overnight Wisdom Udeze. Riddervolds gate 3, 0258 Oslo, Norway. Email hello@chisomudeze.com, phone +47 929 29 416.

2. What you are buying

Hostile To Thinking by Chisom Udeze, as an unsigned paperback or hardcover. One copy per order; for more copies or a company order, contact us.

This is a pre-order. Each copy is printed on demand for you by our printing partner, Lulu. Printing starts when the book is published on 27 October 2026. Copies are usually dispatched within 7 business days of that, and no later than 26 November 2026. Orders to the EU are printed in the EU. Printing on demand does not make your copy personalised, so you keep all the rights below.

3. Prices, taxes and import charges

You see the full price before you pay: the book plus tracked delivery to your country. Prices are in pounds (GBP) for the UK, Guernsey and Jersey, in US dollars for the United States and Canada, and in euros everywhere else.

Where VAT applies, it is included in the price. For the United States and Canada, any sales tax that applies is shown and added at checkout.

Orders delivered outside the EU may cross a border. You are then the importer, and any import duty, tax or courier handling fee is charged to you by the carrier on delivery. These are not part of our price.

4. Your order and payment

You pay the full price when you order, securely through Stripe. The contract is made when we email your order confirmation, which includes these terms. Please keep it. If we cannot accept an order, we refund you in full.

5. Delivery, tracking and risk

Every order is sent by tracked postal or courier delivery, chosen by our printing partner for your address. When it ships we email you the name of the carrier and the tracking link. The book is our responsibility until it reaches you. If it is lost or damaged on the way, see section 9.

6. If your book is late

If we cannot dispatch your order by 26 November 2026, we will email you before that date with a new date and the choice to cancel for a full refund, including delivery. If the new date is more than 30 days later, or we cannot give one, we cancel your order and refund you in full unless you tell us you want to wait.

7. Cancelling before dispatch

You can cancel at any time before your order is dispatched, for a full refund including delivery. Use Withdraw from contract here, or email hello@chisomudeze.com with your order number. No reason is needed.

8. Changing your mind after delivery

Please contact us before sending anything back, so we can confirm the return and give you the address. This is a request, not a condition of your rights. Returns go to Overnight Wisdom Publishing, Riddervolds gate 3, 0258 Oslo, Norway. You pay the cost of returning the book, and we recommend a tracked service.

EU, UK, Guernsey, Jersey and Gibraltar

You have the right to withdraw from the contract within 14 days after the day you receive the book, without giving a reason. Tell us before the 14 days end, with Withdraw from contract here, by email, or with the form at the end of these terms, then send the book back within 14 days of telling us. We refund the book price and the standard delivery charge you paid within 14 days of your notice. We may wait until the book arrives back, or you show proof of sending it, whichever is sooner.

All other countries

You can return the book within 14 days after the day you receive it if you change your mind. Once it arrives back with us, we refund the book price. Delivery charges are not refunded. This is a promise we make voluntarily, not a statutory right of withdrawal, and it does not affect your rights if the book is faulty or lost (sections 9 and 10).

You may look through the book as you would in a shop. If it comes back damaged or written in, we may deduct the loss in value.

9. Lost, damaged, misprinted or wrong copies

Lost parcel: if tracking shows no progress for 10 working days, or the carrier confirms it is lost, tell us. We send a replacement free of charge, or refund you in full if you prefer. If tracking says delivered but you do not have it, please check with neighbours and the carrier first; we will then open an investigation with the carrier and resolve it with you.

Damaged, misprinted or wrong copy: email us a photo of the problem with your order number. We send a replacement free of charge, or refund you in full, including delivery. You do not need to send the faulty copy back. Telling us within 14 days of delivery helps us get a quick reprint; telling us later does not take away your legal rights.

10. Your legal rights

We are responsible for any defect, such as a printing or binding fault, that exists when you receive the book. In the EU this lasts at least two years from delivery. UK buyers have their rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. In Australia, our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. New Zealand buyers have their rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993. Nothing in these terms limits a right you have by law.

11. Refunds

We refund to the payment method you used, at no charge to you, and always within 14 days of your cancellation or withdrawal notice, subject to section 8. Your bank may take a few more days to show it.

12. Privacy

We use your details to process and deliver your order, handle returns and complaints, and keep the records the law requires. Buying does not sign you up for marketing. See our privacy policy.

13. Complaints and disputes

Please email hello@chisomudeze.com first; we reply within 5 working days. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact the Norwegian Consumer Authority (Forbrukertilsynet), which offers mediation, and unresolved cases can go to the Norwegian Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrukerklageutvalget). EU buyers can also get free help from the European Consumer Centre in their country (eccnet.eu). Everyone else can contact their local consumer authority.

14. Governing law

If your delivery address is in the EU, the UK, Guernsey, Jersey or Gibraltar, these terms are governed by Norwegian law, and you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live.

For delivery addresses anywhere else, these terms are governed by the law of the place where you live (in the United States or Canada, the law of your state or province), and the 14-day return in section 8 is a voluntary promise from us, not a statutory right of withdrawal.

Nothing in these terms takes away a right you have by law. You may bring a claim in the courts of your home country or in the courts of Norway.

Model withdrawal (cancellation) form

Complete and return this form only if you wish to withdraw from the contract.
